Internet Café & IT training

Our internet café provides a service to the community which enables them to carry out research, access vital information and communicate with friends and family. With one of the fastest internet connections in Kamuli, the cafe is well used by people from all walks of life.

Increasing job prospects by improving IT skills, we provide computer training in popular software programmes and take advantage of Open Source software where possible. Our focus is now on offering appropriate training for specific sectors of the community such as secondary school students, teachers and deaf people. 
 

Future Plans

Our existing computers are over- used and outdated. Replacements need to be sourced in Uganda, as due to government legislation we can no longer receive second-hand computers from the UK.  We hope to buy new computers for the cafe, improving the user experience and to increase our range of IT training for teachers as Uganda’s education system embraces the digital revolution.
